How to Find the Capricornus Constellation

The constellation Capricornus makes up a small bent-up looking pattern in the sky near the constellation Sagittarius. The stars of Capricornus are best observed in the northern hemisphere summer (southern hemisphere winter). Its one of the oldest-known constellations in the sky and has long been the celestial avatar for a sea goat.   This chart shows Capricornus as a pair of triangles connected by a long line. Look for it near Sagittarius in the skies of July through late September. Carolyn Collins Petersen   Finding Capricornus To locate Capricornus, simply look for the constellation Sagittarius. Its in the southern skies for observers located north of the equator, and higher in the northern sky for folks south of the equator. Capricornus looks very much like a squashed-looking triangle. Some charts, like the one shown here, depict it as two triangles arranged along a long line. It lies along the ecliptic, which is the path the Sun appears to take across the sky throughout the year. The Moon and planets also appear to move roughly along the ecliptic.   All About Capricornus The star pattern we call Capricornus was known to the ancients at least as far back as the Middle Bronze Age, some 20 centuries before the Common Era. The Babylonians charted the pattern as the Goat-Fish. The Greeks saw it as Amalthea, the goat that saved the life of the infant god Zeus. Over time, Capricornus was referred to more frequently as a sea goat. In China, on the other hand, the constellation was described as a tortoise, while in the South Pacific it was viewed as a cavern. The Stars of Capricornus About 20 stars make up the pattern of Capricornus. The brightest star, ÃŽ ± Capricorni, is called Algedi. Its a multiple star system and its closest member is just over a hundred light-years away from us. The second-brightest star is called ÃŽ ² Capricorni, or more familiarly as Dabih. Its a giant yellow-colored star and is about 340 light-years away from us. One of the more peculiar stars in Capricornus is called delta Capricorni, or Deneb Algedi, which refers to the tail of the sea-goat. The brightest star in the ÃŽ ´ Capricorni multiple star system is whats known to astronomers as an eclipsing binary star. That means that one member of the star eclipses the other every so often, causing the brighter one to dim a bit. Astronomers are also intrigued by the chemical makeup of this strange star because it doesnt quite match the chemistry of other stars of its type. IAU/Sky Publishing.  Ã‚   Deep-Sky Objects in Capricornus Even though the constellation lies against near the backdrop of the plane of the Milky Way Galaxy, Capricornus doesnt have a lot of easily seen deep-sky objects. Observers with good telescopes can spy out a few very distant galaxies in its boundaries.   In our own galaxy, Capricornus contains the globular star cluster called M30. This tightly packed spherically shaped collection of stars was first observed and cataloged by Charles Messier back in 1764. Its visible through binoculars, but stargazers with a telescope see more details, and those with even larger instruments can make out individual stars in the cluster. M30 has more than a million times the mass of the Sun in its core, and stars that interact there affect each other in ways that astronomers are still working to understand. Its about 93 light-years across and is fairly close to the center of the Milky Way. A Hubble Space Telescope image of the globular cluster Messier 30 (M30) shows many stars tightly packed together at its core. This is the central region of the cluster. Some have stars much older than the galaxy itself, which indicates that they formed well before the Milky Way, perhaps more than 11 billion years ago. LSD (lysergic Acid Dyethilamide) A Swiss chemist named Dr. Albert Hoffman first produced lysergic acid Diethylmide –or best known as LSD in 1938 (Dye, 1992, p. 2). Hoffman discovered the drug while trying to synthesize a new drug for the treatment of headaches. He obtained the lysergic acid from the parasitic fungus that grows on rye plants known as ergot. From the lysergic acid, he synthesized the compound LSD. He used the compound to test for its pain killing properties on laboratory animals. I will discuss some of the similarities between the tactical and organizational leadership as it relates to the Army. As we know there are three aspects in this process, the leadership role, the time frame and the leaders influence. One of the first things is that in order to be affective you have to be in front of your soldiers, you must have your subordinates trust, you must have a level of tactical and technical knowledge that is unmatched by anyone around you and have a wiliness to help and support your soldiers or they will not follow you. On the tactical side a leader has to lead, support develop and take responsible for his soldiers in order to accomplish his/her mission. As an effective leader one has to be especially close to their subordinates in order to provide them with the necessary purpose, direction and motivation to complete their assigned task. The tactical level is usually found at the company or platoon level, this leader is always looking to accomplish the short term goals in support of the long term mission. Tactical leaders must know how to solve problems quickly and without hesitation, they have more direct influence over soldiers because they are in the trenches with them. At this stage the leader has to council, correct and led their soldiers through the direct approach of leadership. Organization leadership This leadership style is where the leader actually has to plan and synchronize training in order that the small units are able to produce the tactical into the operational action. At the organization level a leader is not in a traditional leadership position when they are directly in charge of soldiers. Leaders in this style are the one whom establish section that develop plans and create orders. When a result is achieved at this level the entire team is responsibility for the outcome. Organizational leaders make decision that affect the long term goal and helps plan the short term mission for their subordinate units. Hypothesis Hypothesis 1: Employee satisfaction is positively associated with the communication in company Research Methodology My strategy is to identify the real situation of communication levels at Accor hotel in the Australia. According to the regional tourism directory, out of many hotels of Accor group, Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park was selected for this research study. However, we are planning to identify the communication levels in Accor hotel and so the research was based on qualitative design format. The research design is descriptive in nature and it helps in obtaining the qualitative outcomes for the data collected which will ultimately help in analyzing the communication level at Accor hotel. The research was concentrated on the employees of Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park and therefore, it is difficult to say that if other hotels of such standards are following the similar levels of communication or not? The major limitation was that the research study cannot be generalized on every hotel of such standard, but it plays an important role in making employees of the company understand the significance of the business communication. Research Process The data for the research analysis will be collected through both primary and secondary data collection methods. In terms of secondary data, previous research articles will be analyzed for better understanding of communication concepts in business. Questionnaire will be framed for collecting primary data. 15 questions will be framed for data collection. A sample of 30 employees from varied departments of Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park will be collected for better results. Respondents will be selected on random basis and they will be informed in advance about the survey analysis. Questionnaire will be sent through electronic mail for saving time and cost. Along with the questionnaire, a detailed document describing about the importance of the research topic will be attached for better understanding of the questionnaire. Data Collection and Analysis Methods The methodology proposed for conducting this research is quantitative. In addition, theoretical approach will also be utilized in this study. The information on the communication level will be collected through questionnaire which will be further analyzed with the help of excel sheet and pie charts. For better presentation of the response of the respondents, T- test and pie charts will be used. Findings of the research will be based on the analysis of the data collected from primary and secondary sources. The methodology chosen has been centralized in order to determine the unrevealed areas. This has been done for making the research study free of errors. Expected Research Outcomes It is expected that the outcomes of the research study are going to be supportive in generalizing that the elements of communication are important and essential for effective business management. Lack of communication and internal communication gaps are not positively related with the performance of the employees of the company. However, the communication flow in effective manner is the main reason behind the high amount of satisfaction in employees life. Statistical evidences will be utilized for analyzing the data outcomes of the research study, which will be collected, with the help of secondary sources and primary sources both. As the research proposition is qualitative in nature therefore, it is expected that the research findings will be justifiable.
